A little bit about me

My name is Armandina Ramírez, but you can call me Mandy. I am a psychologist with a Master’s degree in Health and Social Psychology, and I offer therapy in both English and Spanish for expats.

Like many of my clients, I know what it feels like to start over in a new country. I have lived in Mexico, Germany, Turkey, and currently the Netherlands, where I moved to Amsterdam in 2022. 

I understand the emotional impact that migration can have: the loneliness, cultural adjustment, uncertainty, pressure to adapt, and the feeling of trying to hold everything together while internally feeling overwhelmed or disconnected.

For me, migration is not just about changing countries — it is also about rebuilding your sense of self, safety, identity, and emotional balance.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I work with high-functioning expats experiencing burnout, emotional overwhelm, nervous system dysregulation, trauma, and difficulties feeling emotionally grounded after moving abroad.

With more than 15 years of experience across multicultural environments and over 6 years in private practice, I support people who want to feel more emotionally stable, connected to themselves, and able to truly thrive — not just survive — in their life abroad.
